Hello!
My good friend and fellow former photojournalist Paul Gero came up with this great idea. Making beautiful family portraits while we're in isolation.
Paul will be photographing his community in Wisconsin. I'd love to do this same project in our neighborhood! So many other photographers have responded to this, portraits will be happening all over the country.
I'm calling this "Portraits in Isolation"
We are living in unprecedented times.
Our lives as we have known them are completely different. As a photographer of corporate events, social events, business and family portraits, this has all stopped in my life.
As a former newspaper photojournalist, I've been trying to come up with an idea of how to document this historic time. Nothing has happened like this in any of our lifetimes! My 89 year-old mother is shocked by all of this too!
As hard as these times are, they will become historic.
I believe I found a way to do that in a safe and responsible way (following all current CDC social distancing recommendations) while creating work that is important, beautiful and is my gift to you and your family.
All of the photographs are free, I just ask you to sign a model release and allow me to use them on my website, social media and printed materials.
The Project:
To photograph my neighbors on their home's front porch, windows or in their yard while we both are applying the current CDC approved guidelines for social distancing.
I will be photographing from a safe distance using a long lens to create your portraits. The photographs are my gift to you. I'll send you a link to download the photos you are free to share and print. All I ask is that you allow me to share this on my website, social media and printed materials.
I'm not sure how many people will be interested, please email me, denomaphoto@gmail.com or call/text 412-552-9897 to schedule a time.
I have a scheduler on my website, but I'm working out the kinks, Hopefully soon you can just go there and pick a time!
Thanks so much and I hope you'll consider this!
Robin
